BEYOND THE BITS
Expect fun interaction and outside-the-box thinking for longarmers AND piecers. This is not a "typical sit-and-sew" and attendees should think of it as a hybrid workshop-class event. We're going to have fun while gaining a clearer understanding of how closely tied piecing and longarming (quilting) truly are and do so using your quilt items and questions.
Attendees, please bring one or two items from these examples:
· a finished or unfinished quilt (e.g. flimsy, quilt top, especially if there's something about you've always wondered about, unbound quilt),
· completed or partially-completed blocks,
· cut pieces that haven’t yet been pieced,
· something found (e.g. flimsy purchased at a re-sale shop, quilt from a yard sale or inherited),
· your first project or most recent,
· a quilt you dislike or one you love (be willing to share why),
· quilted yardage for unfinished projects such as bags, totes or clothing,
· appliqued or embroidered quilt tops (quilted or or unfinished, pre-quilted embroidery quilt)
· if you’re a longarmer, share a project’s quilting/design, or a favorite panto (and why), or a favorite type of quilting (e.g. traditional, modern) and why,
· …whatever tickles your fancy.
We’ll also discuss challenges longarmers encounter and the resulting decisions so the end-product (your quilt) is the best it can be. Which is unique to all of us (as piecers).
Shelly is going to tie it all together to the longarming process and creating magical quilts. We're going to cover a lot and when the workshop concludes, you'll walk away thinking BEYOND THE BITS. :-)
Shelly will also spend a few minutes sharing how the L&P Collective can be a useful and reliable resource for our quilting journey.
Let’s get to it and go Beyond the Bits. And remember...GROWTH OCCURS OUTSIDE OUR COMFORT ZONE.
Refer to the section below to REGISTER for the event and PAY online.
Attendees may complete the Event Registration Form but prior to submitting it, may click/tap the HERE link in the last section to open a payment window. If paying online, remember to Submit the Registration

So I may get to know attendees' talents, skills and questions, please complete the Event Registration Form in addition to the payment. Whether you're considering becoming a quilter, are new to quilting, or have years of experience, at minimum, you'll have started your Saturday with few fun hours. But I promise, you'll leave saying, "Not the same-o, same-o." or "Hmmm, I didn't know that." or "Well now, that was interesting!" or "Oh boy, she's weird!" (in the best way possible and I am totally OK with! :-D )
